Are you discerning religious life?

Our Consecrated Life

BEAUTY: We live the vow of chastity particularly through radical hospitality—by being a space to welcome the other. Bearers of the indwelling Trinity through our Baptism, we go out to the fringes to receive and to witness to Christ’s presence in others: “Whatever you did for the least one of these, you did for me” (Mt 25:40).

Sisters of the Little Way Statutes, §14

TRUTH: Imitating Christ who was “obedient until death,” we take a vow of obedience (can. 601), (Phil 2:8). Our obedience flows from the freedom of our “yes” to God. Free to do the Father’s will, we discover the capacity and desire to be obedient. … With Mary’s help, we take up the “the strong, bright weapons of obedience” (Rule of St. Benedict) and nurture a disposition of radical docility and openness to the Holy Spirit’s presence in each moment.

GOODNESS: Mary, Protector of the Anawim, gives us the grace to peacefully live the paradox of surrendering our poverty, sinfulness, and weakness in order to discover the riches of God’s glory. Accepting our finitude and limitations, we trust that our poverty is the place where we enter into communion with Jesus. We live the vow of poverty in a spirit of maturity, generosity, simplicity, equality, and solidarity with the poor.
